Designated Victim

The designated victim, in this case, is George Floyd, representing African-American ethnic groups from Takaki. Derek Chauvin: (Looking scared and horrified by the confrontation) words cannot express how sorry I am. Nobody deserves to go through what you experienced, regardless of what they have done.

George Floyd: Now you have the courage to ask for my forgiveness? You monster! I can never do something similar to that against you, but forgiving you is a rather impossible. (Looking disgusted)

Derek Chauvin: (Trying to prove his remorse) I do not deserve to be forgiven. I should face adverse legal procedures to pay for my crime and the inhuman action towards you. It seems impossible to forgive me, but allow time to play a significant role in the healing process.

George Floyd: You are horrible! I have no words to express my feelings towards you. I still have some humanity towards you and can never let a similar thing happen to you. It is unfortunate to even think about the experience!

Derek Chauvin: (Looking down and afraid to face George because of the guild) you are right and justified to feel so. Any person in your position would feel the same or even worse.

George Floyd: arguing with you is pointless. (Looking bored) do you have any just reason for your actions?

Derek Chauvin:  I have nothing in my defense. I am deeply sorry for everything.

George Floyd: (While starting to walk away) it is not easy to declare that I forgive you, but let us allow time to take its course in the healing process.
